What Is Alpha?
The Alpha Course is a series of 10+ sessions, along with a retreat weekend, exploring the Christian faith, where guests have an opportunity to discuss the meaning of life and faith in a warm, relaxed, and friendly setting. At each session, participants enjoy a delicious meal together and grow in their understanding of Christ in a fun and welcoming atmosphere. Who Is Alpha For? Alpha is for anyone and everyone: all backgrounds, faith experiences, and viewpoints. Alpha is run worldwide, and embraced by Catholic, Orthodox, and Protestant churches. We encourage you to invite your friends, regardless of their church affiliation or belief system. The Cathedral is opening wide the doors- and it is our hope to reach out to all those within our parish family and beyond- the more, the merrier! When? Alpha runs on Thursdays throughout the year. We start Alpha three times during the year. During the Summer (June), Fall (September), and Spring (January). Cost? How do I register? There is no fee to participate in Alpha.
