Infant Baptism
Baptismal preparation is held monthly by the Cathedral. The preparation includes three sessions on the first three Tuesdays of each month from 6:00 to 7:30 pm. Pre-registration is required and can be done by contacting the Parish Office. Parents should begin this process 3 months prior to the birth of their child. Reconciliation
The Sacrament of reconciliation is offered at the Cathedral at the following times: Wednesdays – 12-1 pm, 4:30 - 5:30 pm Saturdays – 3-4 pm and 7-8 pm Confessionals are located in the entryway of the Cathedral next to the stairwells on both sides of the main entrance. First Communion/First Reconciliation
First Communion/First Reconciliation preparation is based upon child readiness. Students and parents can petition the Church for reception of the Sacraments once a child turns 7 years of age. Confirmation
Confirmation preparation is open to all youth in 7th grade or above, who have been baptized, are participating in the life of the parish, and who petition the Church for the reception of the Sacrament of Confirmation. Marriage
Couples interested in marriage are asked to contact the Cathedral at least six (6) months prior to the intended date of the wedding. Marriage preparation classes are held throughout the year. Holy Orders
Some men are called to lay down their lives for the Church in the ordained ministry by the Sacrament of Holy Orders. These men stand in the person of Christ and serve their bride, the Church by preaching, teaching, and celebrating the Sacraments. Other men and women are called to live a life totally dedicated to God by embracing the counsels of poverty, chastity, and obedience. Annointing of the Sick
The anointing of the sick is meant to bring spiritual and physical strength to those suffering from an illness and those nearing the time of their death. Also commonly referred to as last rites, this Sacrament is meant to bestow grace upon the recipient as they prepare to leave this world. OCIA
For any adult who desires to receive any of the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, Communion) and become a member of the Catholic Church, OCIA is the process through which individuals enter the Catholic Church.
